Reservations & Bookings
You can book your stay online using our reservation system or call us directly at 252-996-1188. Our team is happy to help you find the perfect site for your travel dates.
Cancellations must be made at minimum fourteen (14) days prior to arrival for a full refund. Any cancellations made within seven (7) days of your scheduled arrival date will forfeit a 50% deposit amount. Please note platform and processing fees are non-refundable.
Modifications or cancellations can be made through your online reservation portal or by contacting our team. Please review our cancellation policy for details on timing and refund eligibility.
Customers will have the option to purchase their own additional trip insurance at the time of booking which will allow for a full refund for length of stay booked within 14 days of your arrival. A confirmation email will be sent twenty one (21) days prior to your reserved stay to ensure your options for cancelling. For instructions on how to cancel your reservation please visit.
*NOTE ON TRIP INSURANCE AND TRIP CANCELLATION: If you decide to forego purchasing trip insurance, either from the option offered at checkout or your own separate policy, then you have explicitly agreed to our cancellation policy. We WILL NOT provide you with a refund for your trip if you contact us asking for a refund outside of the terms of our cancellation policy. We are located on a beautiful barrier island off the coast of North Carolina, that is subject to changing weather patterns. We have no control over Mother Nature, so for this reason, we highly recommend trip insurance.
If you do not call or show up by 10:00 PM on the night of your scheduled arrival, your entire reservation is subject to cancellation and all payments will be forfeited.
Reservations cannot be resold and must be canceled and released within Campspot. Attempts to resell reservations will be flagged and cancelled by the Avon Pier & RV Resort and Campspot team. Names of guests arriving must match the name on the reservation, no exceptions.
Yes. During peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), we require a minimum stay of typically 3 nights. Off-season minimums may vary. Check the booking calendar for specific requirements.
Check-In & Check-Out Policies
Avon Pier & RV Resort is a self-check-in RV Resort. You may arrive and park your RV in your designated site after 2pm on your check-in day.
You will receive a pre check-in email with details about your stay and the Village Campus. Your check-in package will be in the mailbox on your site post. You will also receive a text message from our mobile number the day of your check-in.
Guests must check-out by noon. Check-out means your campground site must be vacated and free of all trash and belongings by no later than 12pm.
Late departures are subject to additional fees. We ask that you honor our check-out time promptly to minimize hardship on our staff and the next arriving guests.

Cable TV is not provided
A grocery store and gas station are located nearby in Avon. A local hardware store is also available within the village for basic supplies.
Please place all garbage in designated dumpster located by bath house. Please keep your campsite and the beach clean by cleaning up litter.
The bath house facilities are open to guests 24/7.
10AM-6PM Daily unless posted otherwise.
Resort Policies
Quiet hours in the RV Resort are from 11pm-8AM, please respect your neighbors.
Smoking is not allowed in the bath house. Do not throw your tobacco butts on the ground. Please be courteous of neighbors not desiring exposure to dangerous secondhand smoke.
Bonfires are prohibited in Avon Pier & RV Resort, but you are welcome to have a bonfire on the nearby beach. Make sure to keep the fire within the high tide line and get an NPS permit. Permits come free with bundles of wood at Avon Pier.
Pets are welcome at Avon Pier & RV Resort for a fee of $3 per night per animal. Pets must be on leash at all times
Do not leave pets unattended. No excessive barking allowed.
Pets must be walked by a responsible person to pick up after them immediately. Pets are not allowed in any buildings, bathrooms, nor at the pool.
Pets are allowed in Pangea’s Beer Garden with prior reservations and can enjoy Kavon Park with responsible owner.
Maximum of 4 Pets allowed. Managers have the right to ask the guests to leave, without refund, for not obeying the posted Pet Policy.
No farm animals in the campground
We do allow golf carts at Avon Pier & RV Resort and on the Village Campus. However, NC State law requires golf carts to be street legal and have a license plate in order to drive on Highway 12.
We allow gas and electric grills. Charcoal grills are prohibited.
Yes, we allow outside food and drink during the daytime pool use, no glass please.
The American Flag, State Flags, current U.S. Military flags, and Sport Teams flags are the only flags allowed to fly. No other flags are permitted.
Both are prohibited on resort property, including Airsoft and pellet guns. Federal Law prohibits firework use or display in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.
