Located in the village of Avon, North Carolina on Hatteras Island, the Avon Fishing Pier is one of the most recognizable landmarks on the Outer Banks. For generations, the Avon Fishing Pier has served as a gathering point for anglers and beachgoers visiting Hatteras Island.
Originally opening in 1963, the pier stretches approximately 600 feet into the Atlantic Ocean, offering anglers direct access to deeper water without needing a boat.
